Approved Training Partner Criteria

To deliver qualifications from MedicPro International Academy, you must seek approval as an Approved Training Partner or MedicPro Recognized Instructor (MRI) and adhere to the following criteria.

Training Partner Management​

MedicPro International Academy will ensure that the Approved Training Partner complies with the following criteria:

  1. Training Partner management must adhere to the MedicPro Code of Ethical Conduct in conducting its business.
  2. Senior management should support the Training Partner’s objectives, policies, and procedures related to the qualifications.
  3. The assessment team should understand the Training Partner’s aims, policies, and procedures concerning the qualifications.
  4. Procedures must be in place to facilitate successful communication at all levels of the organization and in all directions (including sub-centers, placements, and staff who work remotely).
  5. Responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities of the assessment and internal quality assurance team across all assessment sites must be clearly defined, allocated, and understood.
  6. Regular team meetings involving all employees engaged in teaching, training, assessment, and internal quality assurance should be held.
  7. Staff induction and development policies and processes must be in place for the assessment and internal quality assurance team.
  8. Documented policies, including but not limited to appeals, complaints, health and safety, safeguarding, malpractice and plagiarism, conflicts of interest, and diversity and equality, must be in place.
  9. The Training Partner should meet the proposed GLH (Guided Learning Hours) within the specification (where appropriate).
  10. Appropriate staff, resources, and systems must be in place to support the accumulation and transfer of credits, the recording of exemptions, and recognition of prior learning.
  11. Learners’ personal data must be collected and held in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation.
  12. Marketing and advertising of the qualification(s) must be clear, accurate, and not misleading, and, where applicable, comply with MedicPro and regulatory guidelines.
  13. The Training Partner must have a robust registration and certification process in place, registering learners promptly for external quality assurance.
  14. Certificate claims of the learners must be correct and valid.
  15. Learner records and details of achievements must be accurate, kept up to date, and securely stored in line with MedicPro and regulatory requirements, and should be made available for external quality assurance visits and auditing.
  16. If qualifications have been written and developed by the Training Partner, a robust process must be in place to ensure the content is fit for purpose.
  17. There should be a process in place for withdrawing qualifications and learners from the MedicPro register.
  18. The Training Partner’s achievements will be evaluated and reviewed to inform future qualification developmental activity.

Systems and Resources

MedicPro International Academy will ensure that the Approved Training Partner complies with the following criteria and conditions:

  1. The Approved Training Partner is adequately staffed for the delivery and assessment.
  2. Assessors are occupationally competent and knowledgeable.
  3. Internal Quality Assurers are occupationally competent and knowledgeable.
  4. Staff involved in the delivery and assessment of the qualification have access to suitable continuing professional development (CPD).
  5. Equipment and premises used for the purposes of delivery and assessment comply with the requirements of relevant business legislation and MedicPro requirements.

Delivery, Assessment, and Learner Support

MedicPro International Academy will ensure that the centre complies with the following criteria:

  1. How the security of the assessment is maintained and managed.
  2. Assessors have full, up-to-date documentation.
  3. Any conflicts of interest of the assessors are identified, documented, and managed.
  4. There is a schedule of delivery and assessment methods available for the qualification that fulfills MedicPro and regulatory requirements.
  5. Learners and potential learners are provided with accurate information, counsel, and guidance regarding the centre’s methods and practices.
  6. There is a procedure for accurate and timely registration of learners. Learners should be registered within four (4) weeks of the commencement of the qualification.
  7. The requirements of the qualification are matched to the needs of the learners, and an individual assessment plan is created.
  8. Learners are given regular chances to review their progress and goals, as well as to update their assessment plans to attain their desired certification.
  9. Recognized Prior Learning (RPL) achievements are acknowledged, documented, and verified for accuracy (where applicable).
  10. The assessment materials are prepared at the right level of qualification and as per the guidelines of MedicPro.
  11. The assessment methods utilized are valid and reliable, and learners have access to assessment.
  12. The assessment, including any grading judgments, was carried out in compliance with the specification’s criteria.
  13. Learners receive regular verbal and written feedback after assessment.
  14. All assessment evidence of each unit is named, signed, and dated by the Assessor and Learner.
  15. Assessment records show accurate assessment tracking, progress, and achievement.
  16. Adequate processes are in place to ensure that current and finished learner assessment records and examination materials are stored securely and safely.
  17. Exams and assessments are administered in a way that ensures conformity with external assessment requirements.

Internal Quality Assurance

MedicPro International Academy will ensure that the Approved Training Partner complies with the following criteria:

  1. How the Approved Training Partner maintains the internal quality assurance process of assessment and delivery of training for the qualification.
  2. There is an appropriate IQA strategy and sampling plan that is reviewed regularly, with corrective measures implemented as necessary.
  3. There are appropriate mechanisms in place to ensure proper interaction, uniformity, and standardization across all qualifications, including any sub-centres.
  4. Assessor tasks and responsibilities are clearly delegated and aligned with the requirements of both learners and assessors.
  5. Assessors have been provided with accurate advice and support to enable them to identify and meet their training and development needs.
  6. Assessors have been supported in making arrangements for learners with special assessment requirements (where applicable).
  7. Assessors have been supported in resolving disputes and appeals (where applicable).
  8. Any conflicts of interest of the internal quality assurers are identified, documented, and managed.
  9. Assessors receive clear and constructive feedback on the use of different types of assessment methods, judgment of evidence, and assessment decisions.
  10. Assessment is internally quality assured, and each unit of internally quality assured evidence is named, signed, and dated by the Internal Quality Assurer.
  11. Sample dates align with dates in the IQA sampling plans.
  12. Up-to-date records of internal quality assurance and feedback to Assessors are maintained.
  13. Adequate time is allocated to carry out internal quality assurance duties.
